Island Xpressions Hair & Beauty Studio was born from both love and lived experience.

For years, we saw a growing need in the Victoria and Langford area, individuals and families with Afro-textured and mixed hair searching not just for a salon, but for a place where their hair was understood, their culture was respected, and their experience felt intentional and elevated.

Too often, textured hair care is treated as an afterthought. We knew it deserved more.

Island Xpressions officially opened its doors at the end of August 2025 with a clear purpose: to create a space where beauty, culture, and care come together seamlessly.

We opened Island Xpressions because we believe that everyone deserves access to knowledgeable, culturally informed beauty care.

We understood firsthand the frustration of navigating spaces that lacked expertise in textured hair or failed to create a welcoming environment for diverse clients. We wanted to change that narrative.

Island Xpressions was created to be:
