Island Xpressions Hair & Beauty Studio is expanding, and we’re looking for a talented Hairstylist/Braider to join our growing team! If you are passionate about Afro-textured hair, protective styles, and delivering luxury client experiences, we’d love to hear from you. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hair styling, excellent customer service skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

• A stylist who is skilled, reliable, and committed to high-quality work. Must be proficient in: Knotless braids, Stitch braids, Cornrows, Wig installation, Natural hair care & treatments, Loc maintenance, Retwists, and extensions

• Provide exceptional customer service by listening to clients’ needs and offering professional recommendations

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all work areas and tools to ensure a safe environment

• Upsell retail products that complement clients’ hair care routines to enhance their experience

• Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and processing payments

• Communicate effectively with clients to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly

• Stay current with the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon industry developments

 

Experience

• Proven experience as a Hair Stylist or similar role in a salon setting preferred

• Strong knowledge of hair styling techniques, color application, and current trends

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

• Familiarity with sanitation procedures and maintaining a clean work environment

• Ability to manage front desk responsibilities efficiently while providing outstanding service

• Prior experience working with diverse hair types is advantageous
